Getting You The Help You Need. The Benefits You Deserve.
If you’re trying to win disability benefits, you’re most likely struggling both physically and financially. The Detroit disability lawyers at the Levine Benjamin Law Firm are here to help you through the complicated Social Security Disability processes. We can help you every step of the way.
Filing a Social Security Disability Application…
Applying for Social Security disability benefits is an overwhelming process – so overwhelming that most attorneys don’t want to help you with your application. Not us. At Levine Benjamin, we’re happy to help you with your application.
An application for Disability Insurance Benefits or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) must be filed with the Social Security Administration. Most people are denied the first time. But we can advise you throughout the application process.
Our Disability lawyers can help you apply online, by mail or in person. The earlier you get us involved, the better.
Appealing your Disability Denial…
Don't give up! It can be frustrating when you know you cannot work and your claim for disability is initially denied. The process to appeal can be long and tedious, but success is possible. However, you have a limited amount of time to file for an appeal. It’s important to call Levine Benjamin if your claim is denied.
A denial isn’t the end of your claim. We know the process. We will file a Request for Reconsideration on your behalf. We’ll help you prepare for your appeal hearing and we’ll help you win.
If your Request for Reconsideration is denied, we can request a hearing before an Administrative Law Judge. If an Administrative Law Judge denies your case, we can present your case before the Appeals Council. Finally, if the Appeals Council denies your case, we can appeal in federal court.

If you have a Social Security hearing scheduled…
If Social Security has notified you of an upcoming hearing, it's very important to be prepared. You are strongly encouraged to get legal representation.
